$100 Off The iPhone 5, Newest Verizon Promotion

This year, at the end of March, T-Mobile unveiled the $99 dollars iPhone 5. This move had quite an effect on other carriers as they have started to release their own offers. Sprint has a new offer – you get $100 off the iPhone 5 if you are a new customer. Verizon is not going to lag behind as their own offer is set to be released in a short time. According to an evleaks (the sources of many of the industry’s rumors) tweet, Verizon will offer a promotion during the middle of May; the promotion involves paying a hundred dollars less for the Apple iPhone 5. The tweet does not offer any additional details, so treat it as a rumor for now. However, considering that evleaks has a very good track record (at least recently) regarding smartphone rumors, it will probably be a good idea to wait until mid May if you plan on getting an iPhone 5.

As we said, there are not many details available so we don’t know much about the promotion, but we can guesstimate that it will apply to all iPhone 5 models. This would mean that if you want to buy a 16 GB iPhone 5 from Verizon mid May, you will have to pay only 99 dollars for it. If you want to buy a 32 GB iPhone 5 from Verizon when the promotion will start, then you will have to pay $199 for it while the 64 GB model will see you pay $299. The prices mentioned here will be available, of course, only during the promotion. Another think you need to keep in mind is that in order to benefit of these prices you will have to sign a two year contract with Verizon. In this respect, Verizon’s promotion is different than T-Mobile’s and Sprint’s as they seem to leave the ‘two year contract’ aspect behind.

If you are holding back for an iPhone 5 and this promotion seems very interesting to you, it is worth mentioning that it is very likely that in a few months Apple will unveil and release the iPhone 5S. While the Verizon promotion is very good, it might not be a bad idea to wait a little longer – you may get an even better deal or you may get the newest Apple smartphone, the iPhone 5S. The rumors we have indicate that the iPhone 5S will come with iOS 7 and it will have an improved camera and fingerprint reader and we think it will be available in the period between late Summer and and early fall.
