12-Inch MacBook Air may Arrive ahead of the Schedule

This year there were a lot of rumors about the new generation of MacBook Air laptops with 12-inch displays. According to the latest data, Apple will release these models to the market only next summer.
However, according to the information from the EMS One, it can happen much earlier. The delay was reportedly due to the deficiency of the new Intel processors, which has recently been eliminated. In this regard, the source implies that the new MacBook Air may appear early in 2015 or even at the end of the current year.
We know that the processor for 12-inch MacBook Air – Core i5-5250U – will be made using the FinFET 14-nanometer process technology and have the Broadwell-U microarchitecture . The chip has two cores with Hyper-Threading support and a frequency range from 1.6 to 2.7 GHz, with the simultaneous operation of both cores at the upper limit of 2.5 GHz. The supported memory is DDR3L-1866.
Core i5-5250U will feature the the 8th-generation Intel HD Graphics 6000 graphic core with 48 actuating units operating at frequencies from 300 to 1000 MHz. The graphics will be noticeably faster the one of HD Graphics 5000, and it is possible that it will be able to compete with the integrated graphics cores by AMD.
According to the unconfirmed data, the new generation MacBook Air will be thinner than the existing models; it will get a passive cooling system and will be provided with new touchpads without any physical buttons.
The devices shipments in the United States totaled 2.34 million, translating to 13.4% of this market and the third place after HP and Dell.
