5 Reasons Why Apple Should Release a 4-inch iPhone 6s mini

In 2014, Apple released new smartphones iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus equipped with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens respectively, whereas all previous generations starting with iPhone 5 featured 4-inch screens. However, the company is going to return to this form factor in 2015, as informed sources report.
The unquestionable commercial success of the latest iPhones didn?t meet the apprehension that the big screen will turn out to be a disadvantage rather that an advantage. And it happened to be exactly the opposite. Suffice it to say that iPhone 6 set a sales record for Apple products, as more than 10 million devices were sold in three days. According to a Kantar Worldpane study, 58% of customers account the purchase of iPhone 6 Plus for the screen size.
However, having decided to increase the size of their smartphones, Apple lost some of its users. Here are five reasons why the company from Cupertino should release the iPhone 6s mini.
1. Design
Apple understands that not everybody fancied the dominance of large-format mobile devices such as the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. The company may wish to change the current situation. Apple will release a new 4-inch iPhone keeping in mind the ease of one-handed use of previous models. Some users of the recently released iPhones experience issues dealing with that. Also, the new model will be favored by the female audience. The point is that a smartphone could fit in a handbag or in women?s hands which are smaller than the men?s ones.
2. Marketing
The specifications of the 4-inch iPhone will be similar to that of iPhone 5s, while its design will get some features of iPhone 6, including the rounded edges of the case. The model will enable pushing up the sales of Apple smartphones, as users are more willing to buy devices in a new form factor rather than the last year?s models.
3. Apple Pay
Presently, the 4-inch iPhones have a limited support of the Apple payment service. iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c can only be used for payments along with Apple Watch. It is important for Apple to release a model with an NFC module that will work with Apple Pay out of the box.
4. Fitness
The platform HealthKit works with iPhones of the previous generations with limited settings. Fitness lovers would gladly go for a communicator which features an expanded set of sensors and is compact enough for sports.
5. Performance
A new processor Apple A9 or A8 will provide higher performance of the iPhone. Although this is often not a key factor in choosing a smartphone, it will encourage some users to purchase a model of the new generation.
Recap: the last time Apple released 4-inch smartphones was in 2013, when iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were launched. The company had formerly adhered to an even more compact form factor, with iPhone 4s and lower-end models having 3.5-inch screens.
