55% of future iPhone 6 buyers find the 4.7? screen size perfect

Debates about the ideal smartphone screen size do not subside on the Web. Some believe that iPhone?s 4? is enough, while others are convinced that the screen should be larger. It?s rumored that this fall Apple introduces two new iPhone 6 featuring screen sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches. The recent polls show that the current format does not satisfy the majority of the iPhone users: more than a half are ready to switch to the 4.7-inch Apple flagship.
According to the survey conducted by the iMore resource, almost 55% of respondents indicated that they find 4.7-inch screen perfect for the new iPhone. At the same time 29.81% considered the 5.5-inch diagonal appropriate. Surprisingly, yet true: every third potential buyer of the Apple-novelty chose the phablet.
Hunkers turned out to be in the minority: only 2% of the respondents voted in favor of the 3.5-inch screen (iPhone 4/4s). There is a bit more evangelists of the current screen size (4 inches), but not as many as expected. Only 13.4% would prefer a model with a 4-inch screen.
“4.7 inches would be the perfect choice for me” – one of the respondents shared his opinion. – “A 5.5-inch version is not bad as well, but basically there is no need in such a huge smartphone. 4.7 inches is the thing! This format is bigger than the current, but is still a “phone” size. This is the best give-and-take between the size and ergonomics of a mobile device.”
The survey interviewed about 10 000 people.
According to the study by Tavis McCourt, in March this year 33% of iPhone owners in the United States agreed to pay extra $ 100 to get a smartphone with a larger screen. Last year, the share of such users was 26%.
Some experts believe that keeping the screen size of iPhone 6 at the same level would make Apple miss the chance to attract the vast audience of Android users.
