Apple Losing Market Share To Samsung But Still Doing Great

Rumors about Apple losing in front of Android are in top of the discussion these days. Still, according to the business reviews, it seems that Apple is better than before. The fact that even without Steve Jobs the company is doing great, is a sign of profitability and success.
Bill Maher, the well-known comedian, had maybe the best answer to some media sources that said Apple’s reports are negative for the last few months. His rhetorical question was, we quote: what makes people happy in this economy? and the answer came as nothing is ever good enough. So, this is it. He was completely right. Some blame the stock market, as Arianna Huffington confirms. Actually, what it is thought is that all the stock market in Wall Street has its documents on Apple different devices.
For instance, let’s take the simple example of an article from January 2013, published in Gizmodo. Starting from the story title we can see that it was just an article meant to have traffic on the site, as it was the question: “Can Apple’s stock recover without Steve Jobs?”. Still, Gizmodo and other blogs are considered unofficial sources. But what you do when Fox News uses words such as “ailing” when it comes to Apple and also LA Times has a spicy title saying that “Investor’s appetite for Apple sours”
Well, still there are some other articles which headlines tend to be attractive for the reader so they use words such as “doomed” and “Apple’s doomsday” but, of course, this are just headlines which determine you to go and read the article. But what happens when even the Wall Street Journal becomes a source of reporting Apple issues? It seems to be an issue on stock manipulation when it comes to this publication.
The Good Technology company found last month that the iOS activations when it comes to the enterprise market went up from 71 percent to 77 percent. The trustful source is Wall Street Journal, which chooses a catchy title:”Android Tablets Gain on iPads in Business Market””
Well, in fact the title is catchy but it is incorrect. The article written by Amir Efrati starts with a phrase telling that Apple is not doing so well when it comes to tablets as more and more customers are buying devices from Samsung and Amazon. Still, overall it seems that the trend is decreasing when it comes to this business market. This info comes from Good Technology, which is one of the biggest mobile device providers, also called MDMs; it gives to the corporate IT managers tools which help them supervise the employee devices.
What the figures show is that Apple devices went up, as their share on the market was higher than Android’s. Maybe this is the reason why the numbers shown by WSJ are insecure. The article concludes that both iPads and iPhone devices coming from Apple had 77% using Good Technology software in 2012. This is better than in 2011, when the Apple producer had 71% share. The rest of the percentage is provided by Android
AAPL decrease in 2012?
Well, the truth is that it is not about the performance of the products or the sales. It is the fact that 13 out of 50 dropped out their Apple holdings, and this led to pressure on Apple investors to sell their holdings. It resulted that Google replaced Apple from the favorite list of stocks in the last quarter of 2012, Apple being the 4th on the list now
Fortune World Most Admired Company? Yes, we are talking about Apple. It was voted with this title for 6 years in a row. Still, before this year’s awards, Forbes created a list of reasons for which Apple should not be voted this year.
And, to put it on the table, the sum reported by Apple in the last quarter of 2012 is of $54,5 billion in revenue, not $42 billion, as Fortune stated.
