Apple Posted the Story behind its Christmas Video ?The Song?

About a week ago, Apple presented a touching ad titled “The Song” which deals with the upcoming Christmas. The video is about a girl who found an old record made by her grandmother specifically for her husband when he was in the line of the Second World War. Using the MacBook Pro, iPad Air 2 and GarageBand, the girl remixed the recording with her own voice and gave the duet as a gift to her grandmother.
Later on, the company from Cupertino decided to tell the story behind the shoot of this Christmas hit. It turned out that the technology Voice-O-Graph, released back in 1947, was used for the accuracy of the record sound.
The ad features performers Dana Williams and Rhiannon Giddens. As authors of the ad pointed out in the behind the scenes video posted today, it?s not the tool of making a music record that is important.
?Whether it?s making a record in a booth for someone thousands of miles away, or a song in GarageBand for someone you love, it?s not just the tools that count, it?s the thought behind the gift,? the authors of the video say.
The message is so profound that you will surely get the inspiration for creative gifts. According to Apple, this is exactly what the main purpose of shooting such an ad was.
