Apple Profit In India Up 431% Compared To 2012

It looks like Apple`s revenue is about to grow significantly this year. As far as we know, Apple had a revenue bump with a 223 percent growth compared with the same fiscal period in 2011. This means, the profit increased with about 431 percent, achieving more than $57 million over the amount obtained last year in the same period. All these info were reported by The Times of India through TUAW. Knowing these, the industry observers are now expecting big iPhone sales, which will probably make the Apple company increase again its revenue. The new boom, is expected to increase Apple`s revenue to about $1 billion in 2013, especially if we think at the flush that Apple is gaining in the Indian smartphone market.
As far as we know, even though Apple is not giving any information related to their financial status related to India area, it seems that the company needs to complete a file for the Registrar of Companies in India, as we saw in the report were it was posted.
All these numbers regarding Apple`s revenue, do not include the last six months when, as you probably know already, Apple started a marketing push into the Indian market. And when we say that, we refer to the encouraging buyback campaign, which made Apple`s sales grow significantly, until the point were we can talk about a price war between Apple and Samsung, its main rival on the market.
As far as we could find out from Jessica Kwee, we should expect to see Apple`s sales growing faster this fiscal year. The Canalys`s analyst, specialized in handsets for the Asia Pacific area, claimed that she is waiting for Apple to ship more than 1 million iPhone devices to India this year. This would mean a total revenue of $1 billion for Apple`s fiscal year, which began in October last year and it will end in September 2013.
Maybe you`ll be tempted to believe that iPhone sales are in the top in this country, but did you know that the company`s computer and tablet sales increased as well, but not as much as in iPhone`s case. Anyway, that growth is due to the pricing structure Apple applied for iPads, and its special offers for Mac devices.
Now, even though Apple didn`t show so much importance to the Indian market, all these marketing moves could represent a hint that the company is now seeing the true potential of this area.
So, it looks like Apple is willing to develop new markets, and its push in that direction started to show results, like for example the burst company had in Greater China, meaning Taiwan, China and Hong Kong areas.
