Apple Slows Its iPhone 5 Parts Orders Due To Low Demand

iPhone Parts Apple Slows Its iPhone 5 Parts Orders Due To Low Demand

A breaking news report from last night in The Wall Street Journey disputes the Apple’s possibility of cutting their iPhone 5 orders because of weak demand. This is not what it was expected regarding this launch on the technology ‘s market, but it seems that the suppliers might reduce the orders, as the smart phone is not that “wanted” on the market.

According to the publication’s sources who seem to know well the situation,it is admitted that many iPhone 5 components have been cut from the orders at the suppliers. More to say, and maybe what is even more serious is the rumor according to which screen orders are now cut to almost 50 percent compared to the initial planned orders.

The Journal’s report has poached the news, saying that the iPhone 5′s component orders have been cut with 61%. The reason stated by the journal is the same, the low demand. The sources given by the Journal’s report are: the people close to the business. Two of the people even sustained that iPhone 5′s screens order for January – March 2013 has almost got to half compared to what was expected and planned initially.

The main problem which seems to hold back Apple is the competition which is strong. Actually, the two main brands which might interfere here are Samsung and Google. Apple might have some issues with the investors also, as the competition subject is a delicate one.

Actually, it is not the first time when such a report is made public, as in the last month the same problem with iPhone’s orders was in the spot.

Still, numbers appeared in Reuters news, which says that the main suppliers of Apple: Japan Display Inc, Sharp Corp and South Korean company LG Display Co Ltd were asked to cut supply; the initial planned number was about 65 million units, according to the sources.

Maybe it is just a matter of time in order to go to the next generation handset,as the situation for  Apple is said to break the annual system refresh cycle and introduce the next iPhone in the first part of 2013, never mind the cheaper model which is in plan.

Is this a strong reason to cause component orders cuts up to 50%? Maybe we will find out after Apple’s earning call. This will be a great moment to find out the company’s next quarter plans and then analyze the situation better.
