Best Free Facebook Apps For Your iPhone

Facebook is on everyone’s lips these days. If you have a computer and you’re under 30 you probably also have a Facebook account. Having an iPhone makes one available on Facebook even when mobile. You can check-in your status anywhere and see what others have posted recently. With these in mind, what are the best Facebook apps for your iPhone?

There’s only one answer to that and it starts with the official Facebook app for iOS.

The Facebook User Interface

Browsing Facebook from the mobile UI brings the m.facebook.com URL to your eye. The official app is faster than using Safari to browse the mobile version of Facebook. The blue bar at the top gives you access to Menu, Friend Requests, Messages and Notifications. They are the features people use the most.
Below this blue bar there are buttons allowing you to post a status update or share photos or even check-in with your current location.

The Menu

Tap on the menu to see a sliding pane come into view. This contains a list of elements you will probably find familiar: Favorites, Messages, News Feed, Events and Find Friends. Scroll further down and you’ll see Apps, Groups, Lists and Pages. At the very bottom there are buttons for Settings, Edit Favorites and Help Center.
The search feature will let you search for friends and pages. It will also display pages you have not yet liked so it is a good way to discover new stuff on Facebook. Updating your Facebook privacy settings can also be done from the stock Settings App. Pick Settings and then tap on Privacy Settings.

Apps For Facebook

You can chat directly from your iPhone using the App section. tap on Chat and you will be able to see who is online and who is currently using the mobile version of Facebook (judging by the icon right next to their name). The Photos app lets you see what photos you have and your albums. Tap the plus sign in this window to be able to add images from your library or you can share a photo or video. There is also a Notes app here that you can use to take notes.
There are also other apps you can use here and you can view them all by selecting “See All”.

Facebook Messenger

This is a better alternative to using the Messages feature in the Facebook app. You get free push notifications and you can text groups. it can also provide you with chat and sharing images.
The best part of this app is that it;s free and you will be able to freely chat with your pals and buddies.

Facebook Pages

Do you have some Facebook pages you would like to manages? This app was developed for people like you. You can interact with your readers by posting messages in the name of the page you are representing. You can post new messages and reply to comments. The Facebook Pages Manager makes it easy to interact with people.
The app will also allow one to see how that particular page is doing in terms of the reach it has. There’s an insights section that will provide useful information in this regard.
The app is similar to the main Facebook app but it identifies itself as a means for a small business or an organization to spread its message on the social network.

Still Friends

This application will show one how many new friends he or she has accumulated lately. It is an ad-based app but it does what it does fairly well. This is one of the few apps not created by the Facebook web machine and that is still fun and easy to use.
