Casio Presented a New iOS and Android Compatible G-Shock Smartwatch

Casio has announced the expansion of the G-Shock watches lineup which can complement iOS and Android-based smartphones. The addition to the product line is a GBA-400 Bluetooth 4.0 equipped model.
The G-Shock watch features a liquid crystal display where various notifications from your smartphone pop up. According to the manufacturer, the battery will last for two years provided the watch is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth for an average of 2 hours per day.
The features of the new model have become distinctive for G-Shock. It is linked to mobile devices to perform a variety of tasks, such as incoming call and alarm notifications or other vibrating signals. G-Shock is also automatically adjusted to the time zone of any city via iPhone synchronization.
In addition, the watch is compatible with the SoundHound app which allows identifying the name and the performer of any song by its fragment. The information is shown on the display of G-Shock GBA-400.
The supported phones are iPhones running iOS 7 and above, Samsung Galaxy based on Android 4.3 and later versions, and a number of other smartphones. The dimensions of the watch are 55.0 x 51.9 x 18.3 mm, and its weight is 66 g.
The sales of G-Shock GBA-400 will start in the second half of September. The gadget will cost $ 225. The company will offer models in various color schemes including red, black and blue.
