Cicret Smart Bracelet to Turn the User?s Hand into a Smart Screen

A French company named Cicret has introduced an original bracelet which turns the user?s hand into a touch screen for both displaying and entering the data. The device can become a real breakthrough in the wearable technology enabling full control over a smartphone or tablet.
Cicret resembles the Jawbone Up fitness tracker. Using a built-in projector and several sensors, this novelty can project the screen of the smartphone on the user?s forearm and transfer all the necessary instructions via the wireless connection.
The device features a built-in array of eight proximity sensors, an accelerometer, a vibration sensor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless adapters. Additionally, there is a slot for a 16 or 32 GB microSD, a Micro-USB port and LED indicators.
According to the developers? vision Cicret will project the OS interface directly on the skin. The device is activated/deactivated with a shake of the arm. Proximity sensors detect fingers position allowing to use the projection as a usual touchscreen. The smartphone?s display can be projected both on the outer and inner side of the forearm.
Cicret will enable receiving and sending messages and e-mails, surfing the web, playing games etc. It can be used paired with a traditional smartphone for making calls.
The developer wants to make the bracelet available in different colors with waterproofing. The bracelet is still under development, though its working prototype will be shown in a few weeks. The device is expected to cost $400.
