The Lunecase, the case signaling the iPhone owner about incoming calls and SMSs, project collected via the Internet crowd founding the 50 thousand dollars necessary for its implementation. This was reported on the Kickstarter crowd founding platform website.

According to the Kickstarter, on Wednesday, April 30 the Lunecase project collected 55,117 dollars from 1459 donators.

The team, consisting of five Ukrainian specialists, as well as a Russian, an Australian and an American presented the Lunecase project on Kickstarter just 36 days ago, and on Wednesday the receipts on Kickstarter had already exceeded the requested amount.

Now the developers can start creating the Lunecase test samples and proceed to the final testing. They plan producing the first samples in May, and in August, they can start selling them at a retail price of $50. The creators promise to produce versions for the iPhone 5S, and for the iPhone 5C.

The main feature of the case is that it does not have any power supplies. It uses the energy of the electromagnetic interaction of the smartphone with the case to signal an incoming call.

The creators of the case point out that it will only work with GSM networks, and the users will not be able to benefit from its functions with the CDMA. It is also reported, that no influence of the case on the battery life of the smartphone has been revealed within the seven months of testing.
