Foxconn Hiring Spree Could Mean The Start Of iPhone 5S Mass Production

Past Tuesday a new report came out, according to which one of Apple?s partners Foxconn is on the verge of hiring a big number of people to increase the manufacturing production of the new iPhone 5s handset.
As mentioned in the China Business News publication (information poached from CNET), one of the recruitment companies of Foxconn, in this specific case the one dealing with the employees of the Zhengzhou plant in Henan Province, recently began a large scale recruitment process. As one of the sources claimed, the new employees will be working on the iPhone 6.
The source went further than this and stated that the Foxconn company has already began the mass production of the new age iPhone and at the moment they are trying to cover the new assembly line openings through this mass recruitment process. In the present, the Foxconn plant is working with 210,000 employees, which is a lot less than what they had at their peak production in 2012 when the employee number reached 300,000.
Even though Foxconn is bringing all this new personnel to work on their assembly lines, analysts everywhere believe that the manufacturing company is getting ready to open the production of the much rumored iPhone 6 ( or iPhone 5S, as some refer to it). The new Apple handset is widely expected to inherit and carry on the initial design of the iPhone 5, but with upgraded – and maybe some new – internal hardware. This new iPhone comes right in time to fit into Apple’s iPhone update series, a release which usually brings excitement and new design features that raise the barn in the smartphone market, year after year.
Another thing pointed out by CNET’s source is that Foxconn’s plant in Zhengzou seems to be working on something rather different than the current iPhone 5. The tipster says that this iPhone has a design without borders and that the chassis is made out of carbon fiber and aluminum, meaning that the resulted device will be 40 percent lighter than the iPhone 5 model.
AS you probably know by now, there have been some leaked images supposedly belonging to components of Apple’s new iPhone 5S, but we have also seen images belonging to the low end iPhone – iPhone 6 or iPhone Light – version, which is expected to be embodied by a colored plastic chassis.
The AppleInsider publication has been the first to unveil some potential iPhone components, belonging to both the iPhone Light and the iPhone 5S and more than that, they even posted 3D renderings which describe how will the two iPhone versions look like in the end.
