Free Up Storage Space On Your iPhone or iPad

Hey there! Today we are going to approach the subject on how you are using your iPhone storage space (which, as you’ve already noticed is limited). Considering that you’re using your iPhone as a video or photo camera (as most of us do), it is most likely for you to have a lot of photos and videos stored, which can make you run out of space in a fast rhytm, and unfortunately, that may happen without you even realising it, or even in a bad time.
As you have seen so far, the Photos app only informs you about how many items (photos or videos) there are in the Camera roll and Photo Stream, without giving you any information about the amount of space they are occupying in your device.
If you are already using the iOS 6 on your iPhone, then the option of checking the status of your used storage space becomes a very simple one. This option is a very accurate one, telling you exactly how much space you have left on your phone, and how much of it your photos and videos are occupying.
In order to find out how much storage space is your content using follow the instructions below:
- First of all, go to the Settings app and open it
- Second of all, press on the button General, and after that, press the Usage button
- In this section, below Storage (remember that it may take a few second for iOS to process the information concerning the storage space),you will be able to check how much space your apps are using.
- At the beginning of the list you will find the information about Photos & Camera. Here you will see exactly the total amount of storage space your photos and videos are using from your iOS gadget.
- This information is, of course divided in sections, and by tapping on the button Photos & Camera you will see how much storage space your photos and videos are occupying in the sections Photo Stream, Camera Roll and Photo Library, the latter one concerning the content you have syncedd with iTunes.
Now that you know how much space you have left, you may consider necessary to get rid of some of the content you have put in your device ( whether there are photos or videos),in order to make sure you will not run out of space.
