Google I/O 2013: Is Stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Powered Samsung Galaxy S4 Next?

Google’s I/O conference of 2013 has begun, and we can’t wait to see what it’s actually going to be announced next out there. Some rumors claim that we’re going to see during the event located in San Francisco, a Samsung Galaxy S4 working on an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software out of the box. Related to this matter, Google’s representatives tried to lower our expectations by stating there won’t be any new OS or hardware presented during the show. But we like to believe Google is planning a surprise with that.
Geek, the online tech publication claims that during the event, we will see something that many have wept for, and that is a Samsung smartphone running on Android software. So, if this info turns out to be true, then we will be witnessing the Samsung flagship working on pure Android operating system.
Even though nothing has been officially announced yet, the fellows at the Geeks claim they have inside the I/O conference sources to support their material. Besides, they are well known for their accurate information, so we believe this might be true.
As far as we know, the new device is going to be named Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition and while there’s no difference in the hardware components, the software differences are quite notable. It seems that when it comes to this segment, Google and Samsung have been working together in order to develop an Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which is going to be presented during the event from today.
The report that mentioned this information, also mentioned that the Galaxy S4 Google Edition is going to be available for acquiring starting with June this year, and in the beginning it is going to be offered only by T-Mobile. However, the report doesn’t mention if the new smartphone is going to be sold through the Samsung company or through Google Play.
We don’t know what your thoughts are regarding this issue, but it seems that there are a lot of smartphone users out there who prefer the simple Android software instead of the version that contains the TouchWiz feature. Furthermore, the features that Samsung’s interface provides are not very popular among Android users because they rarely use them. If this info is true, and the new version of the smartphone will loose the TouchWiz UI, there will be a lot of Android fans who would like to enjoy Samsung’s awesome device without the annoying function. If this isn’t true, then we will have to wait for the guys from CyanogenMod to come up with a custom ROM to help us get rid of the TouchWiz.
However, if the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition is being presented today, not only it will have a great success but it could also create an opportunity for other devices, whether they wear the Samsung mark or another one. Apart from the fact that the Galaxy S4 is going to run on an AOSP and it is most likely to be the most sold device this year, you might also consider the fact that the Android OS is going to get a lot more fans out there.
Furthermore, selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android pure stock isn’t putting just Google in a favorable position but the Samsung company as well. And of course, the clients are receiving most of the benefits.
Let’s say you would have the chance now to buy a Galaxy S4. Which one is it going to be ? The TouchWiz Galaxy S4, or the Android only version? Stay close, cause we’re going to bring you more details regarding Google’s I/O event.
