How to delete iPhone, iPad or iPod iCloud Backups

Cloud is a free service (up to 5 GB) powered by Apple which offers you storage space on which you can store everything that you like, including music on the Internet or downloads from iTunes. iCloud is the app that gives you the capacity to control and manage your iOS device backups. Besides, you can manage all kind of data files, whether it is about entire backups or just photos or mails (because as you already know you can also free up space by moving or deleting old emails that you might no longer need).
One of the biggest benefits of this feature is the fact that while you enable and sync multiple devices like the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (you can sync up to 10 devices at once), you can also store song libraries secure and without the use of a computer. This option is awesome to use even for digital music.
As we know so far the most important files from your gadgets are instantly backed up on the iCloud storage space. That means you will be able to find there all kind of files including photos and videos from the Camera Roll and also data from apps like Facebook, Twitter and so on. With this in mind, you will probably need a lot of information in order to get the hang of it, most of which you can find on the Internet and we decided to show you a little part of it. In this article we present you how you can manage your content by deleting a backup remotely.
We are aware of the fact that fans of Apple products waited for the moment when the administration of their files from devices like iPhones, iPods, or iPads, would be possible without using a desktop computer. As you probably already know this is possible right now with the apparition of iCloud. Apple, surprised his costumers with this program, which brought happiness for Apple users who can now manage their files directly from the devices they own. Yes, it`s true, you can now forget about your desktop machine, and enjoy everything on your gadget. You can also use an iCloud backup to restore your device.
But, like everything else that offers you a space to use, you will have to pay for keeping your files backed up on iCloud. It`s true that you can use the first 5GB for free, but we are pretty sure that this would not be enough for you with time passing. Most likely you will find yourself in the situation of buying more and more space for the storage of your data, even more if you are one of those users who are using more than one iOS Apple device. In this case, you will need to pay an annual fee every time you run out of space on iCloud. Of course you can try to sidestep this issue of space, by checking and deleting your old devices backups from iCloud since they don`t serve you anymore.
With time passing you might also get some corrupted files in your storage space from iCloud, so this is why it would be a smart move to delete old iPhone or iPad backups. Those corrupted files may corrupt the entire backup and more than certain none of you want that to happen. On the good side, this does not happen very often, but on the bad side a corrupt file is also very hard to identify. I was in that skin before, and i had to deal with this situation and my only solution was to delete the entire corrupted backup from my iPhone.
Keep in mind that what we will present you further, also works on the of iPhone, iPod touch or iPad devices. There are five steps you should follow in order to be able to learn everything about how to delete a backup from iCloud. In conclusion, pay attention to the steps bellow, there are pretty easy.
Step 1: Tap on Setting application
Step 2: Once your Settings app is launched go to iCloud, then choose the option Storage and Backup and last but not least, tap on Manage Storage. Through this option you will be able to check all the backups from all your gadgets that are connected to iCloud app using the same Apple ID.
Step 3: In this step, if you already know which content you want to delete, just go to the backup of the device you want to clear and select it. For example i have chose to show you how to do it by using an old iPhone 5 archive created on 10/17/2012. This particular backup is occupying a huge part from my iCloud storage space, only that file is having a size of 3.1 GB, just as shown in the image bellow.
Step 4: Going to step four you should touch “Delete Backup” button. After tapping on “Delete Button”, you will be able to see a pop up message asking if “you want to turn off backup and delete all backup data for “device name” from iCloud.”
Step 5: To the step five you will need to tap “Turn Off & Delete.” After this final step the selected backup should be deleted and all its content lost.
Ending this process will give you the possibility of reusing your space, without having to buy more storage from iCloud. This option not only gives you the opportunity of successfully administrating your files, can also save you money. I, as you can see in the images i used for this example, i just saved another 3.1 GB of space on my iCloud.
