Unlock iPhone 41 How to unlock your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS running on iOS 4.3.2 using ultrasn0w fixer

Below you’ll find a complete guide on how to unlock a jailbroken iphone 3gs or iPhone 4 running on iOS 4.3.2 firmware.  This would have been impossible to do because of a problem with the last Ultras0w but thanks to DjayB6, we can. He was kind enough to create a fix for Ultrasn0w.

To unlock a phone means to remove it’s carrier restriction. Unlocking is technically reversible so you don’t have to worry about voiding your warranty too much. If your phones start acting weird you can restore it through iTunes and send it to be repaired, but only if you actually can restore it, that is, if it works to the point that it can be restored. Legally, you can unlock your phone, it is not protected under the DMCA agreement but it can void your warranty if the seller finds out. Also important to note is the fact that some carriers have no problem with unlocking, to be sure just call them and ask. Some even unlock the phones themselves for a fee.

Note: While this is not mandatory or required it would be good if you can sync and backup your iPhone with iTunes to make sure you’ll save all your important data (photos, music, documents, settings and contacts)

Here’s what you need to do

Step 1.  You first need to uninstall Ultrasn0w from Cydia, but don’t worry because Ultrasn0w Fixer will install Ultrasn0w as a dependancy

Step 2.  Now you have to go to Manage – > Sources -> Edit and tap Add.

Step 3. Then write down the following thing: http://djayb6.com/ . This is called a repository, it’s basically a storage location on a server.

Step 3.  After you’re done doing this search for Ultrasn0w Fixer and install it and reboot.

Step 4. And there you have it, enjoy your newly unlocked iPhone
