iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 Release Date Might Be In September

Apple is readying upgraded versions for both the iPad Mini and the 9.7-inch iPad model. Since the Cupertino-based company is trying as hard as possible to keep the iPad Mini and iPad 5 release dates secret, everybody is nowadays trying to get some new information from the part suppliers and other Apple partners who were contracted to manufacture the next-gen iOS-powered tablets.
Therefore, those of you who were drooling over an iPad Mini 2 with a Retina Display will probably be disappointed, as Apple doesn’t seem to be working on a next-gen 7.9-inch tablet with a high resolution display, and even if it does, the Retina Display iPad Mini will not hit the store shelves sooner than late 2013. The rumors saying that the iPad Mini Retina will not be launched this fall are confirmed by the NPD DisplaySearch analysts, who claim that the high-resolution 7.9-inch Apple tablet will probably see the light of day a couple of months after the iPad 5 release date.
Meanwhile, reports are indicating that the Cupertino-based giant will launch an intermediary iPad Mini, which will be launched ahead of the Retina Display version, with a the release date rumored for early September. According to various sources the iPad Mini 2 will have a display with a 1024×768 pixeli resolution, similar to the one used for the current model, but the A5 chipset will be ditched over the more-powerful A6 SoC.
As about the next-gen 9.7-inch iOS-powered iPad, unofficially dubbed iPad 5, sources from within Apple supply chain are claiming that the next-gen tablet will debut in early September. The latest leaked photos are revealing that the iPad 5 will be different from the current model by making use of a narrower bezel around the display, which will make it look like an iPad Mini on steroids.
Courtesy of the redesigned LED backlight, the iPad 5 will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, getting close to the weight of Apple’s old iOS-powered tablets.
