iPad 5 Release Date Set for September? What Should We Expect?

The iPad 5 release date received no official confirmation, but most of the reports are indicating that the fifth generation Apple iPad will enter production by the month of July. If the rumors are accurate it means that the iPad 5 release date might be set for September. But how will be the iPad 5 different from the iPad 4th gen?
The details about the iPad 5 are shallow, but so far, the rumor mill is speculating that the new iOS-powered tablet manufactured by Apple will sport a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. Even though the screen resolution will not be different from the one of its predecessor, the new display will be developed on a glass substrate that it’s thinner than the one used for the Retina Display of the iPad 4 (0.2 mm compared to 0.25 mm on iPad 4).
The new Retina Display that will be fitted on the iPad 5 will also come with an improved of the LED back light, which will bring an improved level of light, but it will drain less battery.
According to the rumor mill the bezel that is surrounding the display will also be changed. Being thinner than the one used for the iPad 3 and iPad 4, the new frame that will be a reminiscent of the one used for the iPad Mini will reduce the size and the weight of the iPad 5. Courtesy of improved display and the new case, the iPad 5 will weigh about 25 – 33% less than its predecessor, which will be crucial when it comes to handling the tablet.
The iPad 5 release date will not be the only one scheduled for this fall, as it was reported that the Cupertino-based company also plans to introduce an iPad Mini with Retina Display, and, possibly, a budget iPad Mini, that is supposed to compete against the Android-powered Google Nexus 7.
As usual, the iPad 5 will also bring an improved processor, therefore we should expect an Apple A7X chipset with improved graphics processing performance. We don’t know yet whether the amount of RAM will also be increased, but this is an aspect Apple should really consider given that the rumors say that iOS 7 will arrive will real-time multitasking.
