iPhone 5S Release Date Delayed Due To Fingerprint Sensor Issues

iPhone 5S Fingerprint Sensor 400x250 iPhone 5S Release Date Delayed Due To Fingerprint Sensor Issues

Apple is known for the company that wants to make everything perfect and we have one more rumor related to this. It seems like the coating material used for the iPhone 5S interferes with the fingerprint sensor, so the device might face delays until they manage to fix the issue.

We’ve already told you about the fingerprint sensor that will be bundled with the iPhone 5S. It should be built in the home button and used to unlock the device and maybe for other security-related issues. Of course we see rumors like this one every day, but the fingerprint sensor related news have come from multiple sources and it could be actually true.

The iPhone 5S was expected to be released this summer, but it seems like Apple will most likely release it later because of those issues. According to Reuters, Apple isn’t able to find a coating compatible with the fingerprint sensor and this is going to cause delays in the manufacturing process.

Hopefully they will manage to fix the issues and release the device soon enough, because competition is playing tough and both Samsung and HTC are stealing market place around the world with their new flagships – Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

iPhone sales have also decreased and it might be due to the fact that people are waiting for the new iPhone 5S, which has been rumored to be released pretty soon. Apple’s shares have also fallen lately, reaching a record low of less than $400 this week, while in September 2012 they were valued at more than $700 a share.

The new iPhone 5S is supposed to be released with the same 4-inch display, while the processor and graphics should be improved. It’s possible to come in a slightly different casing, though nothing is very clear about that. The sole all-new feature should be the fingerprint sensor, which seems to be causing problems. And it’s understandable considering that we haven’t seen something similar on a smartphone before.

The fingerprint sensor will definitely cause debate, considering that it’s been pretty popular on notebooks a few years back, but failed to gain traction with the users.
