iPhone 5s Remains the Best-Selling Smartphone in the World

According to a study by Counterpoint Market Technology iPhone 5s smartphone became the best-seller in May 2014. The official website of the company reported the news.

In the new study Counterpoint was researching which phones are most popular among the consumers. According to the company analysts, iPhone 5s is the absolute best-seller. The device went on sale in September 2013, it has a 4-inch screen, a dual-core A7 processor and 1 GB of RAM.

The second place in the list of best-selling smartphones belongs to the current Samsung flagship – Galaxy S5. The last one of the top three leaders is another Korean gadget – Galaxy S4. The fourth place belongs to Galaxy Note 3 phablet, and the fifth – to iPhone 5c.

Counterpoint Market Technology points out increasing popularity of phones with larger screens and augurs the success of iPhone 6.

“There are three phablets among the top 10 most popular smartphones which reflects the trend in the market – the analysts said. – In May, nearly 40% of the phones sold in 35 countries were phablets. If Apple releases its own phablet this year, the device will top the list of the most popular gadgets in just two months after the start of sales. ”
