iPhone 5S Will Feature A Fingerprint Sensor Says Analyst

Rumors in the industry and among analysts have it that the iPhone 5S shall come with a fingerprint sensor as the ultimate breakthrough element. At least this is what we hear from one particular analyst in the tech business, and this is also not the first time the claim gets leaked and perpetrated in the community. So it seems that Brian White, working as analyst with Topeka Capital Markets is informing investors that a fingerprint sensor is what Apple has in cards for its upcoming iPhone that is to be launched sometime this summer. What the fingerprint sensor would bring new is that it shall replace the usage of passwords. But this is not all, and a recent report has it that we should also think of an upcoming potential to be processing credit card payments via the phone. Getting back at White – his reports have come to AppleInsider’s attention after the analyst’s having been on tour with supplier chains back in Taiwan and China – so the conclusions have there after been made public and here they are for you too to grasp.
When it comes to the actual feature – it seems that the main objective it holds is to be serving and achieving key solidity in terms of security. So the analysts also highlights that the alleged new feature shall be the one making the difference in terms to the upcoming iPhone 5S sales, and he also traces this happening to be taking place during the summer and in July to be more specific. He also makes the connection between this feature and the launching of Siri and the iPhone 4S. In addition, he brings the so-expected iWatch device into the discussion too in terms of relevance for the fingerprint feature. To dig in, White actually states that the fingerprint will serve the iWatch as well – but again nothing is carved in stone, so at this stage we can only suspect certain aspects without any official confirmation. This is why White is pretty vague on the issue and does not ensure of it as a given fact, but mentions that steps in this direction have started to be taken, which is a sign of it becoming possible at some point.
To reiterate – although this is still a pretty virgin territory in terms of speculation – we have already had a few more rumors on the matter and on the potential launching of this fingerprint feature when it comes to the next iPhone to come. It has therefore previously stated that the iPhone 5S Home Button would actually be sporting the feature, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. And to make it even more plausible – the claims were enforced by Apple’s purchase of AuthenTec, as it was then when everybody started believing that perhaps the fingerprint was not just a mere piece of rumor. What this specific company was specialized in was the producing of smart sensors that allow readers based on fingerprints that are to be found behind the touch-screen display. And the Topeka analyst took discussions even further more by mentioning the TV device that Apple is rumored to be launched, and links this new achievement to an alleged “iRing” device. Curious as to what this is? It is pretty much a gadget that you can place on your fingers and that enables the detection of movement, in a nutshell.
