iPhone 6 Sapphire 400x250 iPhone 6 Release Date Q3 2014, Features Sapphire Glass Display

Last but not least, Apple is joining Samsung and LG in their quest for the ultimate curved screen. New leaked information points out that the display of Apple’s next flagship, the iPhone 6 will feature a curved screen.

This isn’t new and rumors regarding features and specifications of the iPhone 6 started to appear at just a few days after the launch of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Rumors say that Apple is trying to reduce its competitors advantages by launching two new smartphones in 2014. So, as also reported by Bloomberg, this time next year we should be playing with two new iPhones. As rumors say so far, both the devices will be featuring wider displays and downward curved edges.

Apple’s future flagship device, also entitled iPhone Air, will probably be a serious competition for Samsung’s Note line-up. The Galaxy Note phablet has started some big waves when first released, and its latest successor has summed up over 5 million units sold in less than a month. When seeing these sales numbers, you can imagine why it would be a huge step for Apple to start investing in the phablet industry. It would have a lot of chances of getting a big part of the whole market.

NPD DisplaySearc also published a report recently, in which they announced that Apple fans can make plans for playing with two new iPhone gadgets and not just one, more precisely iPhones with screens of 4.7 inch and 5.7 inches. Perhaps from this year on, Apple will instate the tradition of launching two new iPhones every year.

Other improvements in the iPhone are reported by Bloomberg, according to which, Apple is also working on some highly advanced touch sensors that are able to detect  different levels of touch interaction. However, we won’t see these upgrades any sooner than 2015.

And if you were wondering how reliable are the sources claiming that Apple will increase the display size of the iPhone, we believe that since the information was also backed up and reported by Ming-Chi Kuo, the sources are trustable. The KGI Securities analyst has made previous predictions that turned out to be true, therefore we will trust him on this one, as well. AppleInsider later reported that according to Kuo’s predictions Apple displays will go to 4.5 or even 5 inches.

On the list of unconfirmed rumors regarding the iPhone 6, stands a sapphire glass cover  which will increase the device resistance to scratches, a display using Sharp IGZO technology, 128 GB internal memory, 4GB RAM and a processor of 64-bit with a dedicated M7 chip.
