According to the Chinese edition of the Business Times? Apple has problems with producing batteries for the phablets named iPhone Air.

The rumor says, the device will have a 5.5-inch screen, but its form factor will require the battery to be measuring only 2mm in depth. The phones batteries are on average 2.8 – 2.9 mm thick, so production of the new gadget will be on hold until the spring of 2015. By that time, Samsung SDI and LG along with some smaller manufacturers should be able to provide massive supply of the components required.

This report, at least, confirms the Apple?s plans to produce new devices, as well as the name of the new phablet (?iPhone Air?).

Perhaps this story is a fake that appeared because rumors about the iPhone 6 flood the Internet. As usual, Apple is reluctant to communicate its plans or ideas, so we have to wait until the end of September, when the company presents the new smartphone and the other devices line.
