iPhone users are 7 times more active on the global network than the owners of Android-based phones, reports Oszone with the reference to the NetApplications analytical agency. They analyzed the data collected by 40,000 websites to arrive at this conclusion.

According to the statistics, Android operating system covers 85% of the mobile devices market, 11.9% share belongs to iOS. However it is also known that all these 11.9% are iPhone smartphones, so their owners choose more expensive tariff plans with lots of traffic. The popularity of the Android system is due to low-end phones and their extensive sales in developing countries, where the paying capacity is much lower and the cellular networks are less developed.

According to the research 44.62% of mobile users go online from Android devices and 44.17% from the iOS. Taking into consideration a nearly sevenfold advantage in the number of Android devices the equal traffic volume indicates that an average iPhone user consumes 7 times more traffic.

Taking into account the?compensation the majority of mobile application developers prefer iOS, as monetization is much higher in this segment.image1 iPhone users surf the Internet 7 times more intensely than Android users
