Jonathan Ive: New Apple Products Will Be Made From the Most Innovative Materials

Jonathan Ive, Apple?s lead designer, has given an extensive interview for The New York Times, in which he told about his approach to the creation of new products and materials used in the production process. According to Jonathan Ive, the new Apple devices will be made from the materials which have never been used in the manufacturing of the Apple gadgets.
“I?ve worked for the last 15 or 20 years on the most challenging, creative parts of what we do. I would love to talk about future stuff ? they?re materials we haven?t worked in before. I?ve been working on this stuff for a few years now. Tim [Cook] is fundamentally involved in pushing into these new areas and into these materials,” said Ive.
Observers assume that by the “future stuff” Ive meant iWatch, a smart watch, and iPhone 6. Sapphire crystal or liquid metal can be used for their production.
Ive says that he meets Tim Cook and other Apple top managers three times a week. The meetings are held at the corporate head?s office or at Jonathan Ive?s design studio.
“We meet on average three times a week. It is hard for us all to be patient. It was hard for Steve. It is hard for Tim. At any point in time, working on something, it?s always hard to just keep focusing on the product. One of the things different between us and some of our competitors is that we just focus on the product, developing good products.”
Ive pointed out that nothing has changed since Tim Cook took charge of the company. Like Steve Jobs, his predecessor, he pays a lot of attention to innovations.
