Low-cost iPhone Cases Caught on Camera, Multiple Color Option Rumors Confirmed

The first unofficial photos of the colored case of the upcoming low-cost iPhone are coming straight from China. There are voices saying that the cheap iPhone is not real, but just an attempt of some small manufactures to exploit the idea of an affordable Apple smartphone.

Anyway, the rumors regarding a low-end iPhone with plastic body and multiple color options aren’t new, thus it might be some truth behind them. According to the latest reports, the Apple designers had some real problems in finding the right shades for the case that seems to be manufactured from polycarbonate with an unibody structure.

The design of the leaked low-end iPhone cases are somehow reminding me of the last-gen iPod Touch, for which Apple offers five body colors. Of course, the iPod Touch is made of aluminium.

More body colors are definetely making a smartphone more popular, even though we are talking about an iPhone and the explanations is pretty simple. For the time being Apple only offered two body tones for its phones, so lot of users have purchased colored covers and cased for their iPhone in order to add a bit of glamour to the device they carry around every day.

The images in the gallery below allowed us to see that the location of the camera and of the LED flash were not changed, while the docking connector is Apple’s Lighting. Moreover we are expecting the display to be identical in size with the one of the current iPhone 5, judging by the tall casing.

You will also find some renderings of the low-end iPhone based on the leaked pictures, and, to be honest, its design lines are pretty attractive and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that it will become a popular smartphone.
