Modified Evasi0n7 Tool Jailbreaks iOS 7.1 Beta 3

Two days ago, Apple released the third iOS 7.1 beta version (build 11D5127c). This led members of the jailbreak community to believe that the vulnerabilities exploited by team Evad3rs’ Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool have been patched in the latest iOS 7.1 beta. However, a well known iOS hacker confirms that Apple did not actually patch the Evasi0n7 untethered jailbreak tool.
Even though everyone is still waiting for confirmation that the third iOS 7.1 beta is jailbreak safe from team Evad3rs, iH8sn0w (a well known iOS hacker) said on his Twitter page that the vulnerabilities exploited by the Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool have not been patched by the latest iOS 7.1 beta. He did mention that a future beta version will probably patch the vulnerabilities. This is iH8sn0w’s tweet: “Since everyone seems super worried … Today’s iOS 7.1 beta 3 (11D5127c) does NOT patch evasi0n7. Another beta probably will though”.
An unofficial Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool, which it seems has been modified by a few hackers from Russia, was also released on Tuesday, after the third iOS 7.1 beta version. The modified Evasi0n7 tool is said to be able to jailbreak the third iOS 7.1 beta and it seems that it actually does what it promises, being able to jailbreak the iOS 7.1 beta 3. Jeff Benjamin of iDownloadBlog said: “I decided to take the plunge and see if the ‘unofficial’ version of Evasi0n7 could legitimately jailbreak iOS 7.1 beta 3 […] After about 15 minutes of testing, I can state that the answer to that question is yes”.
In you can see the unofficial Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool (released by the Russian hackers) at work. If you intend to use the unofficial Evasi0n7 tool, members of team Evad3rs have not commented on the Evasi0n7 tool modified by the Russian hackers so if you are concerned about safety, it’s best not to use it for now. Just a few days ago we reported that the Evad3rs team updated its Evasi0n7 jailbreak tool to version 1.0.2 fixing a boot loop issue that stopped iPad 2 WiFi users from completing the jailbreak process.
