Apple has presented a new upgraded line of MacBook Air. As expected, they are powered by energy efficient Haswell processors.
A major update to the new Air was the forthcoming of a faster and more productive chip. Now, the model?s base-line configuration has a 1.4 GHz Core i5, and using the Turbo Boost technology will take its clock speed to 2.7 GHz . Recap: the previous models had 1.3 GHz, and 2.4 GHz with the Turbo Boost function on. Top configurations of the MacBook Air will provide even more performance with Core i7 clocked at 1.8 GHz.
What’s new in the Macbook Air 2014?
All the new laptops of the Air 2014 series are equipped with Intel Haswell processors, which are the fourth generation of the Core family, and with Ivy Bridge architecture receivers. Thanks to the new chips, all the devices have high performance and longer battery life. In the U.S. the Apple Store the updated laptops featuring 11.6- inch screen and the storage capacity of 128 GB are offered at $899 and 256 GB ones – at $1099. The 13- inch configurations cost $999 and $1,199, with the respective hard disk capacities.
