Google will fix the problem LG Nexus 5 quick discharge.
As it turned out, the camera is the one to blame for rapid battery discharge. In particular, the problem is caused by the mm-qcamera-daemon process, which allows applications like Skype to use the camera of your smartphone. Even after the application is closed, the process continues to run in background thus eating up the battery. According to the observations of one of the Nexus 5 owners, the device lost 1% of its battery every 2 minutes in the standby mode.
Google representatives promised that the fix for this issue would be included in the next Nexus 5 update. Meanwhile all the users are advised either not to use Skype or to restart the smartphone after using this application.
