Over $1.5 Mln was Raised for the Production of the Case for Instant Photo Printing from iPhone

Yet again, the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter offers a concept both original and sought-after, as evidenced by the amount of money raised for the realization of the startup. In about a month, the Prynt project raised over $1.5 million and thus was successfully funded. Within its framework, a portable printer in a form of a universal case for smartphones running iOS and Android is being prepared for the mass production.
The Prynt case is the most compact printer as for today. It is made in the form factor of a protective case for iPhone 5, 5S, 5C and 6, as well as Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5. After you plug the device in and take a photo, it will take about 30 seconds to make a real photograph with dimensions of 5 x 7.6 cm out of the digital image.
A port is used for connection with a mobile device. The corresponding part is made modular, which enables compatibility with different models.
The first campaigners were able to preorder Prynt for $49. Now, the minimum payment allowing you to get the gadget is $99. 10 sheets fit in the case, and that?s the number the case will come bundled with. You can purchase extra 50 sheets for $25. In future, it will be possible to buy the paper directly from the Prynt app.
The print resolution makes up 313 x 399 dpi (620 x 1120 pixels). The built-in battery will last 20 prints, and the recharge takes 90 minutes. With the dimensions of 128 x 80 x 30 mm, the printer case weighs 225 g.
Another key feature of Prynt is the option of shooting a video via the Prynt app when you pose for a photo. This will allow making original collages in the form of animated digital photos with a special software, so that you can watch the process of taking a photo together with your friends and pick the best shot.
The device will be available in several colors including blue, coral and white. Shipments of the portable printer Prynt is scheduled for October 2015.
