The question is yet which type of display the Samsung will use, either LCD or AMOLED . Other information, newer ones, coming from the Korea Investment & Security, suggests that Samsung will have a flasghip device which will have a 6-inch display and the release date is scheduled for sometimes this year. The name is not yet confirmed, still it is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
When it comes to the 6-inch panel capacity, the production of the panels considering utilization and yeld is the following: 50% – 3,078 versus 90% 5,540
Other rumors suggest that the Samsung company will not be able to use the Samsung Youm flexible display, as the production will not be finished in time. What some of the analysts expect is an OLED display over an LCD display for the Galaxy Note 3. So, this would mean that there is no possibility of having a Sharp IGZO display.
