Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date, Specs And Price Rumor Roundup

Galaxy S5 400x250 Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date, Specs And Price Rumor Roundup

About six months have passed since Samsung made its grand release of the Samsung Galaxy S4. So this could only mean that the rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S5 up for release have started spreading. We are of course talking about the Samsung Galaxy S5. The newest speculations regarding Samsung’s next flagship have come from the Navar, which is a Korean news site widely famous because it is run by former Samsung employees. Based on the information posted on the website, we have gathered that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could come out somewhere in middle of January next year. This would mean that we are looking for a release somewhere in February 2014.

So how accurate are these speculations anyway? The best way to figure that out, or at least attempt to, is to take a look back at the release dates Samsung has had so far and what influenced those the most.

To begin with let’s just say that in April 2013 Samsung released the Samsung Galaxy S4. That would mean that approximately 11 months ago the Samsung Galaxy S3 hit the shelves. So if the rumors are correct and the Galaxy S5 will be in fact released in February 2014 that would mean that only ten months would have passed since the last model was released. So 10 months seems like a reasonable and practical time to wait between releasing new models. And even more so when you come to think about the fact that Samsung only took one month before its latest release.

Also popular rumor that spread quickly reported that it is very likely that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released during the Consumer Electronics Show that will take place in January next year. And this rumor became popular despite the well-known fact that Samsung has never so far made important announcements during these events.

Furthermore, the release date that Navar suggested strangely coincides with that of the Mobile Word Congress. This event will take place in Barcelona. This will indeed seem likely since Samsung has always had made a high-profile for itself at these events in the past years..

But regardless of these yet unconfirmed rumors, when the Samsung Galaxy S5 does come out you will be in for a treat. It is said to hold a 16-megapixel camera. Which is 3 megapixels more than the current model the Samsung Galaxy S4, but also quite similar to the Galaxy S4 Zoom. Among popular rumors at this point is also the fact that the new model will have a new optical image stabilization feature. The processor is also rumored to be improved from the Qualcomm Snapdragon that the current model benefits from to the Samsung Exynos processor.

A statement made by Samsung CEO Shin Jong-Kyun confirmed the fact that we are very likely to see 64-bit processing capability for the next Samsung models. Nevertheless he failed to mentioned to the The Korea Times when the 64-bit CPU will be put into use, but he did mention that it will not be in the shortest of times.

What’s more, against all expectations the Galaxy S5 is not rumored to have a fingerprint sensor like the new iPhone 5S that has just been released by Apple. The plastic case that the iPhone 5S has is also out of the question, as there have been speculations for quite some time now that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be turning to a all-metal case in the future.

But as it is will all this new information, time will be the judge of their genuine accuracy Until then feel free to leave us a comment and tell us what you think about this release and if there’s any particular rumor that has crossed your path and that we have missed.
