September 9: Apple Sent Out Invitations For the New iPhone Launch

Apple has sent official invitations to journalists and press representatives for the news conference dedicated to the next-gen iPhone launch. As suggested earlier, the event will be held on September, 9.

Traditionally, Apple doesn’t indicate the topic of the event announced directly in the invitation. However, they give us a hint by attaching an image with ?Wish we could say more? written on it. This time, there is the company’s logo and the event date, 09.09.2014, in the invites. Besides being the date and the month, the two nines may stand for inverted sixes representing the two models of the iPhone 6.

This year’s iPhone launch won’t be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco as it used to; it will take place on the stage of the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino. The event will begin at 10 a.m. PT.

According to the unofficial information which came around during the last few months, Apple will present two new iPhone 6 models with 4.7 and 5.5-inch screens at one stroke. The iWatch announcement is another highly anticipated thing that may happen there. The Health app, which will receive data from sensors monitoring one?s vital signs, is likely to become the main highlight of the gadget. The sensors will track heart rate, degree of oxygen in blood and other parameters.

Just like other recent Apple products, iPhone 6 will probably hit the market of the first wave countries (the United States and some of the largest European countries) about a week and a half after the launch, presumably on September 20. It would be in line with Apple‘s strategy of the past few years. Previously, all the iPhones (except iPhone 4) were released on the first Friday after the conference, while iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 came out a week later than that.

It is expected that iOS 8, a new mobile platform, will be released between Sept. 10 and Sept. 20.
