iOS 6.1.3 Some iOS 6.1.3 Users Affected By Battery Life Issues, Wi Fi Bugs

It seems that the more iOS updates, the more series of triggered complaints. What we now have on the menu is accusations from Apple’s iOS 6.1.3 users of battery drain and Wi-FI issues  according to CNET News.

As we all know – Apple’s iOS 6.1.3 was just launched sometime last week and was designed to address a security hole that let someone access the iPhone by sneaking past the lock screen. Leaving this initial purpose aside, it seems that the update actually came out with something new too and has triggered complaints of another type among its users, says the Gotta Be Mobile blog site.

So once again we go back to the same annoying and unpopular battery drain that we were so much fearing would also be an issue with the iOS 6.1.3. To stand behind this complaint we have the posting of quite a good number of users who have used as platform Apple’s Support Communities forum to bring to light that the battery actually drains even faster once the new update installed. It has been reported that some went with the traditional and common fixes to the problem, among which we can add the turning off of notifications and restoring the device to factory Battery, but none of these fixes actually work or give results into providing an improvement in battery drain.

So we can at this stage just sum it up and say that when it comes to iOS update we can pretty much expect the battery drain issues to come along, as unfortunate as it might be. But let’s see how much this actually affects us, shall we?

It is true that more and more complaints come from users who faced battery drain challenges with iOS 5.0, but they have therefore basically forced Apple into coming up with quite a few subsequent updates to address the issue. But as we all know it by now, even with all of these updates we have still not managed to get past these issues, and every update comes along with new and serious battery drain issues.

But new let’s move on from the battery drain problems and get to another  iOS 6.1.3 downside that bothers users  - we are now talking about the iOS 6.1.3 users being hit with the Wi-Fi connectivity issues. It has been reported and reports do come from a high number of Apple forum users claiming that when it comes to their Wi-Fi connections they either do not function or are even grayed out. Figure that out.  And once again we can relate to the past and say that this is a recurrent issue that that started with the iOS 6.0. It was believed by some that the iOS 6.1.2 pretty much fixed this issue, but that it was then introduced once more with the launch of the  6.1.3. However there are also those on the other side of the barricade that actually claim that this problem was resolved with 6.1.3.

And when it comes to Apple they were prompt and brave enough to come forward and admit the issue in the past, and they even came up with an alternative, offering a support page with suggestions on resolving it.

The last topic on the list is another issue related to a battery drain that occurs when connecting to Microsoft Exchange – and just like the rest, this is not a premiere but a recurrent issue too. It was supposed to have been fixed via the iOS 6.1.2, however opinions on that matter are not the same with everybody.

So bottom line – if you are an Apple iOS 6.1.3 user, then do expect issues such as battery drain and Wi-FI to come up.
