Special iPhone Event Confirmed For September 10

Apple finally confirmed this week the long rumored special event that it will host on September 10th; at the event, Apple is expected to unveil at least one new iPhone at the event, if not both the iPhone 5S and the rumored low budget iPhone 5C.
This Tuesday Apple sent out invites, a week in advance, for a special event to be held on September 10, 2013 at the company’s Cupertino, Calif. headquarters. The event will start at 10:00 am PT and the event’s catchphrase is “This should brighten everyone’s day”. On the invitation there are bright coloured circles (yellow, green purple, blue) similar to what could be seen when the iOS 7 was unveiled.
Of course, Apple makes the invitation as to give hints regarding what to expect from the launch event. Next week’s event has an invitation with multicolored circles and a the tag line that very likely allude to the iPhone 5C (the low budget model) that is rumored to come in a rainbow of colors, unlike previous iPhone models.
A new iPhone release is a big event, anticipated by tech enthusiasts around the world. But besides a new (or two new) iPhone, at the September 10 special event Apple will also release the Gold Master version of its mobile Operating System iOS 7, that was first unveiled this year, in June, at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event.
It is rumored that the iPhone 5S will come with Apple’s next SoC, the A7 that offers a quad core CPU; it will also come with the latest iOS 7, that introduces a number of new features. Regarding the iPhone 5S’ internal storage, it may come up to 128 GB. There have also been rumors about a fingerprint sensor on the home button, for increased security, though lately nothing has surfaced regarding a supposed fingerprint sensor. Another big uncertainty is a larger display as Apple may not want to change the iPhone 5S’ design too much.
The other new iPhone rumored to be released at the special event on September 10,is the low budget iPhone 5C. There have been many rumors about the iPhone 5C and its specs and feature. Some rumors claim it will have specs similar to those of the iPhone 5, other rumors suggest its specs will be those of the older iPhone 4S. What all rumors agree on, is that it will come in many colors, as seen from a few leaks that hit the Internet last month. It is also suggested (by leaks and rumors) that the low budget iPhone 5C will feature a plastic casing, unlike other iPhone models that feature aluminum casing. Plastic is a cheap material and its use aims to lower production costs; it is also not a sensible material to scratch marks.
Besides the cheap material used for its casing and the multitude of color variants, the iPhone 5C is also rumored to be released with a 4 inch display, the A6X SoC (that is currently powering the fourth generation iPad) and an 8 MP rear camera sensor.
However, even though it confirmed the event and sent invitations, Apple did nto say anything about the devices it will unveil. Which is understandable, as the Cupertino based company want to maintain the surprise.
