The Crux Monaco and Crux Manhattan will Turn the iPad Air 2 into a MacBook Air

It is commonly known that the key difference between a laptop and a tablet is its functionality. The former is mostly used for content creation, while the tablet and the iPad in particular is made for the comfortable data consumption. Yet the companies Bodyguardz and Crux wondered why not to turn a tablet into a laptop. They have joined efforts to develop innovative iPad Air 2 accessories named the Crux Monaco and Crux Manhattan. The novelties are made in the MacBook form factor with a screen and a full-size keyboard. They are designed to make the work with the Apple devices easier.
The Crux Monaco and Crux Manhattan not only protect iPad from mechanical damage, but also enable typing a text using a full-scale QWERTY keyboard. The latter connects to your device via Bluetooth and thus turns the tablet into a laptop. The cases are equipped with rechargeable batteries that provide up to 80 hours of battery life when using the keyboard or up to 300 hours on standby.
The proprietary design of the Crux cases series makes using the device simple and keeps it compact at the same time. Some peculiarities of the accessories include functional buttons that provide the instant access to some of the iPad Air 2 features and the ability to rotate the so-called MacBook 360 degrees to use the screen of the tablet directly.
The models differ in their design and the materials. The Crux Manhattan has an aluminum case and features a built-in LED backlight meant to facilitate typing in the dark. The model with active backlight can last up to 10 hours.
The Crux Monaco and Crux Manhattan will be available for purchase in the online store Bodyguardz priced at $150 and $200 respectively. The sales of the accessories are starting in the first quarter of 2015.
