Tim Cook Introduced the Apple Watch

At the March 9 event, Apple presented the final version of the Apple Watch. The company?s CEO Tim Cook introduced the device on the stage of the Yerba Buena in San Francisco.
The watch will be available in two screen sizes, with a 38 mm and a 42 mm diagonal. Previously, media nicknamed them the ?female? and ?male? versions, although the difference is actually not very noticeable even on the hand. Apple will offer a variety of interchangeable bracelets to customize the Apple Watch, such as leather, metal, magnetic, and polyurethane ones.
The device will be available in three series, which are Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition. The principal distinctions of the Sport version are a reinforced case made of anodized aluminum, its moisture and dust resistance. The case of the premium version is made of 18-karat gold.
All the variations impacted the price of the device. According to Tim Cook, the minimum cost will make up $349. It concerns the 38 mm modification, and the version with a 42 mm screen will be priced at $399. The regular model will cost more; the cost of the compact version will vary from $549 to $1049, and that of the larger version will be from $599 to $1099.
Those who would like to purchase the Edition version will have to fork out for a much larger sum. It?s no coincidence that Apple?s Senior Vice President of Design Jony Ive hinted that the Swiss watch manufacturers would be troubled. Apple Watch Edition will be sold at a price starting from $10,000.
The Apple Watch is equipped with a heartbeat sensor, and a zone for connecting the magnetic charge. The right-hand panel features a digital crown to scroll and zoom the content, as well as a button to open the list of contacts. Although the Apple Watch has a touchscreen, with the help of the crown Apple decided to reduce the need to touch it and cover the data on the display.
The screen of the device turns on automatically when the Apple Watch owner tilts his or her wrist to see the time. You can switch between apps with horizontal or vertical swipe across the screen. It is protected by sapphire crystal, and distinguishes tapping and pressing. Pressing the screen with two fingers launches the heart rate monitor.
The watch can be used only if paired with a smartphone ? not only iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but also iPhone 5, 5s and 5C. Straight from your wrist, you can initiate calls and messages, including sending cute animated smileys and small drawings. The Apple Pay is supported as well.
At the demonstration of the device, Apple said that the Apple Watch could vibrate when worn and thus, for example, by mapping suggest whether you need to turn right or left. The watch has a built-in microphone that allows answering the incoming calls. According to Tim Cook, he had dreamed about it since he was 5 years old. The watch measures calories burnt, steps made and the duration of training.
First, it was stated that the device’s battery life will make up 18 hours. However, at the Q&A session after the Apple Watch presentation, the company?s representatives clarified that the fully charged Apple Watch will last 3 hours of continuous talk on the iPhone connected to the watch, 6.5 hours of playing music via Bluetooth or 8 hours when the heartbeat sensor is on. The Apple Watch work up to 48 hours autonomously in the Limited Use mode, and 72 hours with the Power Reserve mode activated.
Preorders for the Apple Watch will open on April 10. The novelty will go on sale on April 24. First, the gadget will be available for purchase in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the USA.
