Top 10 Best iPhone Zombie Apps

Which App Store application do you use most regularly? If the answer is “Games”, then this is the right article for you to fathom the already known games. If have other top used apps, then you might continue reading this article, as you might discover the magical world of iPhone games.

The main characters searched for in App Store’s games are..no, not fairies or animals, just zombies. Maybe the reason is simple: they are actually dead people who might be killed in all the violent ways that could go through your head. Actually it is kind of funny to kill them and it is allowed to, in contrary they will eat your brains.

So, if you are a fan of the zombies, then the next top ten iPhone zombie games will help you find some extra activities for the free time:

 1. Plants versus Zombies

First, let’s review Plants versus Zombies, number one in our top.

It is considered to be the best zombie game in the App Store, as it has great animation and it thrills the player by keeping him permanently challenged.

You are a homeowner who was previously attacked and who must take measures in order to protect his space. So, you begin to plant watermelon or pea-shooters in order to feel safe on your property.

What is very interesting is that this game, except that it is considered to be the first in top 10, is that it offers the opportunity to win the  iPhone and  iPad Game of the Month award from various sites.

It is scored 4 out of 4 and the “flower defense” is considered to be its bottom line, together with the fantastic animation which is the main plus. Still, it has some minuses, such as the lack of the survival mode.

The price of the game is reasonable, only $2.99 and it can be bought from the Apps Store.

2. Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies

On the second place, here comes the Zombies call of duty, named “Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies”.

The action happens in old times, back in the World War II history. The player is kept in a house with the windows boarded. The challenge is to shoot at the  undead, while keeping the windows border. In order to enjoy the game at its capacity you should try the online multiplayer and extra level packs. In fact, the game is a combination between the zombies and Nazis and is based on bonus levels from the original Call of Duty.

It is scored with 4 out of 4 and the bottom line is that the mobile Call of Duty translates the Zombie Navi levels from the original.

An important advantage, besides great graphics is the dual analog stick controls.

Unfortunately, it does not support team chat at this point.

Still, if “Call of Duty” brings you great memories from the time you were playing the original (if you are not still doing this), we recommend you to try this game for only $4,99 from the Apps Store. It might surprise you in a good way.

3. Zombie Infection

It is interesting that this game allows you to have a virtual trip from South America, in zombified towns,  where you start to original locations such as a zombie zoo, with a few interesting and rare exhibits. It is akin to the well-known Resident Evil 5 game.

It is scored with 4 out of 4, because of  its action and scenery it offers. The music, graphics and controls are a great review for Zombie Infection. The bad voice acting is in top of the minuses the players had stated.

The price of this Zombie Infection is of $4,99, available in the Apps Store.

So, what do you say about an infection? Do you start the game?

4. Alive 4-Ever

If you are a gamer you heard about Alive 4-Ever for sure. Well, the original 4 player Left 4 Dead console game and made it available for iPhone. You actually need help from your friends in this game, in oder to fight off zombies or rescue different survivors from the mission. Also, you can locate gold or take down great bosses.

The review also gives a 4 out of 4 score for this game and it has great pluses such as the Bluetooth multiplayer, the tought challenges that each mission permits. Also, the unlock system is a great one, which makes the game even more wanted. Unfortunately it has no online features, but still is considered to be in top two-stick shooters games on the iPhone, available in Apps Store only for $ 2,99

 5. Pro Zombie Soccer

If you were into cartoons, then you will love this game’s graphic. What is interesting is that you actually kill zombies with the help of a soccer ball. This is considered to be in top, with a very good score (4 out of 4) because of the art direction – in the comic-book direction, the level variety which allows the player to advance, all of these with a great music listening while playing the game.

It still has an important minus, as it lacks an endless survival mode.

The price of this game is only $0,99, even if the variety of the game would make you think is more expensive.

6. Zombieville USA HD

Zombie USA is one of the first games in the App Store that has zombies as main characters. Even if the first version was not the best, the HD upgrade available for Ipad is way better, as it has a superior control scheme and zombie bulldozer.

It is considered to have 4 out of 4, as it has characters with different abilities and you can get help from other survivors.

For a low price you can have a great game with character selection tool (which is available on iPhone too) but without online leaderboard and multiplayer. Maybe a third Zombie USA version will include this also, who knows what will happen in Zombie USA’s land?

7. Resident Evil 4

RE4 was a total success for the consoles and the iPhone version is similar, but not identical. If the original version has a great and complete story, the iPhone RE4 has smaller arena-sized locations, making the perimeter of the game broader. What is the same as the console version is the atmosphere of the European village which is very creepy and insane.

So, for only $4,99 you can have a 4 out of 4 reviewed game, with lots of weapons and excellent controls, but with no blood included

What is interesting to be seen is the stop and pop gameplay, being a mission-based shooter. Still don’t have great expectations compared to the original storytelling and mission exploration.

8. RottenCity

RottenCity has an interesting story behind. Actually, by playing the game you have to collect zombie cash in order to get out of the living town and have a holiday. You are the only survivor, and walking the streets, you will need to be careful in order for the zombies not to attack you. You can search for a safehouse to host you  to be able to continue the game. It is a difficult game with a good level of change and great art direction. It still has some glitches but it balances with the great game design. If you are interested in this kind of violence, you can purchase the game from the Apps Store for only $0,99

9. ZombieSmash

What about zombies and physics? Playing this game you will see it is not such a bad idea, as expected.  The main activity is defending yourself; in this game you have access to different weapons such as giant boulders in order to defend your house from the zombies. What is funny is that while playing you can take a picture of a moment or another – for instance you can freeze a zombie with nitroglycerin and then drop a rock on his head. Wouldn’t that be provocative?

The score is 3 out of 4, as it hasn’t got many zombie types and the campaign mode is not a long one. Still, it is an interesting combination between  2 other existing games, Zombie games and Knights Onrush, available in the Apps Store for only $0,99

10. Zombie Highway

Cars and zombies. What could then happen? Of course, trying to escape from them while they try to attack you with different methods in order to crash. Zombie Highway makes this scene addictive, turning it into a high score game. You have weapons and a mechanic that helps you kill the unwanted hitchhiker.

The review is 3 out of 4 as it is not an entertaining game for long periods of time.Still, you should try it for the fun of the situation! Just buy it from the Apps Store for $0,99
