WhatsApp Denies Google’s Interest In Buying The Company

We are sure that you are aware of the most hottest news released last week, that claimed Google is about to acquire the WhatsApp team and its well known messaging tool. We all know that there were some long term negotiations concerning this deal, but last weak rumors let us know that negotiations were ended with an $1 billion deal. Now, it seems like those rumors were false.
More than this, as far as we could find out from a new report, there are no discussions in this very moment, between WhatsApp and the Google company, so it`s impossible to speak about an acquisition or a done deal. The words of the WhatsApp business development manager Neeraj Arora, strengthen the news from the new report, because last night, he said to the AllThingsDigital that the acquisition of the WhatsApp team and its app by the Google company, is nothing more than a false rumor.
Now, we can`t say that it`s such a big surprise that the buyout rumor was groundless, because we`ve heard a lot of similar rumors related to WhatsApp in the past. Actually, a similar news was launched a few months ago, when TechCrunch stated in a report that the WhatsApp team was in deep negotiations with Facebook, concerning a possible buyout. But, we must say that this time, we were tempted to believe the report where this news first appeared.
Maybe you wonder, why is WhatsApp raising such an interest in front of the most bigger tech companies? Well, take a good look at its huge user base and you`ll find your answer all alone! It`s almost incredible how many people are using the WhatsApp app on their devices. Last month when we checked the numbers, the WhatsApp messaging tool was used by more than 200 million users on more than 700 networks, all over the world. We counted over 100 countries where the app is facilitating messaging. Imposing, we may say!
So, one thing is clear now, WhatsApp will not be acquired by neither Facebook or Google. But we are still curious what will happen next. What`s the plan of the WhatsApp team? Well, we`ll wait and see what other news we`ll find related to this subject. But, for the moment, we could find out that in the near future WhatsApp will make some changes related to the subscription method. It seems like, as the company`s CEO stated, they are trying to change their method with the iOS model. This means that the application itself can be downloaded for free, but the users will have to pay an amount of $1 per year.
