Bending iPhone 6 can be both funny and dangerous. An unpleasant incident happened to Philippe Lexer. On October 11, the American had a?road vehicle accident during a pedi-cab ride about Tucson, Arizona. As a result the iPhone 6 bent in half and burst into flames.
Philippe kept his smartphone in a leather case in his jeans? front pocket. The vehicle slipped and the passengers almost flew off the cab. Philippe bumped severely against its wall. When he turned to his wife and son to make sure that they were fine, he felt burning pain. It was his iPhone.
?I saw smoke coming from my trousers,? Philippe said. The smartphone was strongly deformed and it caused the accumulator combustion. It took the man some time to get the device out of his pocket.
Apart from bruises and injuries, Philippe got a second-degree burn on his leg and a couple of first-degree burns. He will have to undergo a course of treatment.
Undoubtedly such cases are extremely rare and it is quite possible that any other smartphone may have harmed its owner in the same situation.
