Carl Zeiss Introduced Virtual Reality Headset Compatible with iPhone 6

The idea of using smartphones for immersion into virtual reality is not a new one. A number of manufacturers have already unveiled their working on such projects. For example, Samsung plans to launch a 200-dollar Gear VR headset working with the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, while Google proposed making such a device of cardboard.
Carl Zeiss, a famous optics manufacturer, is going to release a cross between the Samsung Gear VR and the Google Cardboard as early as next month. A plastic headset VR One worn instead of glasses features a pair of eyepieces and a block for attaching a specific smartphone model.
In fact, VR One can only be called a dock or a frame for your phone, which is equipped with additional controls and thus opens up the world of virtual reality to its owner. The headset design is given a module for users to attach their gadgets to.
There are no extra sensors in the device. Its purpose is to keep hold of the smartphone in front of the user?s eyes and provide an appropriate focusing by means of a specific adapter for each smartphone model. The advantage of the VR One lies in its versatility. The users will be able to use both iPhones and Android-based phones. The iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5 adapters will be available at the launch.
Smartphones with screen diagonals ranging from 4.7 to 5.2 inches can fit into the VR One body. The novelty will be priced at $ 100 or so.
