Samsung Acknowledged the Problem with the Galaxy S5 Camera

According to Reuters on Monday April 28 Samsung acknowledged the problem with the camera in the Galaxy S5 smartphones and promised to tighten control over the finished product to prevent the ingress of defective items from coming on sale.
Samsung company stated, that the problem is located in the permanent memory module, that contains the information necessary to operate the camera. Samsung representative declined to indicate the number of defective Galaxy S5 to Reuters, yet said that failure message were coming from users in the U.S. and a number of other countries. The owners of such smartphones should contact service centers.
The Russian office of Samsung failed to provide any immediate comment to “Lenta.ru.” According to the source, familiar with this situation, there are no similar cases in Russia when Galaxy S5 users filed this problem to the official service centers.
The first reports about incorrect camera operation in the new Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone came last week.

Unlike the previous model Galaxy S5 is environmentally-sealed, its impermeability meets the IP67 standard. The device has a 5.1-inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). It features a 16-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel front-facing cameras. According to the manufacturer, the focus takes 0.3 seconds when shooting. This is the record result for smartphones.
