Apple to Open the Largest in Asia Research Center in Japan

Apple, the world’s biggest software and hardware developer, intends to build the largest in Asia research center in Japan. The Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told about this during his election campaign speech he gave for the citizens of Saitama.
“Apple decided to hold the advanced research and development in Japan and this will be officially announced soon, – said the Prime Minister of Japan. The corporation will build the largest in Asia research-and-development center in Japan”.
However the head of the Japanese government did not communicate any further details of the new project of the American corporation. We assume that the experts of the new research center will be engaged in developing emerging technologies in the field of electronics.
In Q2 of 2014 Apple tripled their spending on the research and development compared to the same period of 2013. If the company continues to invest in the R&D at the same rate, by the end of the year this company’s item of expenditure will exceed $ 4.5 billion.
In the official documents, Apple notes that the company’s investments are concentrated around the new products, as well as the increasing the capabilities of the existing solutions. It is not difficult to guess, most of the investments are directly related to the mobile devices. The lion’s share of the R&D expenditures is still allocated to the iPhone, which consumes almost a third of the budget.
It was rumored in November that Apple planned on opening a research-and-development center in Cambridge.
