Swatch has denied collaboration with Apple in the development of “smart” watch, on the eve of VentureBeat publication has recently reported, that the American computer electronics giant reached an agreement with the Swiss company, citing an unnamed informed source.

As spokesman of Swatch says they had no reason to publish such information. The company representative explained that the business relationships of Swatch and Apple are only in the plane of integrated circuits and other electronic components supplies.

Earlier, some sources claimed that Swatch was preparing the launch of watches under their own brand, but with an option of connection to Apple applications. As JP Morgan analysts stated to Reuters, the launch of the products in this format would be an unpredictable decision. They explained that in the past six months representatives of Swatch said that one of the main problems is the dependence of software from other countries.

Apple is interested in promoting iOS, iTunes and HealthKit ecosystem in the most aggressive way possible, which is why it essentially does not matter who of watchmakers will share their brand. The main thing is that iWatch should satisfy everyone, from a geek to a blonde. It is believed that among the Apple’s watches business partners there is a Dutch Timex Group, which owns a line if fitness watches named Ironman.

It is expected that iWatch will go on sale in October. According to Reuters, the screen of the device will measure 6.35 cm (2.5 inches), and it will have a slightly elongated shape. The watch will be charged with a special device, it will need no wire for this.

The watch will perform part of its functions itself, while the tasks such as sending and receiving messages or voice chat will require an additional device – a tablet or a smartphone running on the iOS system. Furthermore, the watch will incorporate over 10 sensors measuring the owner’s pulse, their body temperature and other info.
