iOS 6.11 Muscle Nerd Updates Ultrasn0w To Support iOS 6.1

During the last period, the need for the iPhone software unlocks through jailbreak has not been a subject of interest  anymore. This is because of the rise of the third-party vendors and the change in DMCA policy (the risk of being labeled a law-breaker). Still, the method is used by many of the iPhone users.

If you are one of them, then we have good news for you. The Ultrasnow tool powered by MuscleNerd was recently updated and it now supports the iOS 6.1. devices. As you know, Ultrasnow helps you unlock your devices and now as it supports newer software version, it seems to be a great choice.

What you need to have in order to proceed to your jailbreak is an iPhone 4 on baseband 01.59.00, or an iPhone 3G/3GS on baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 0.5.12.01, 05.13.04 or 06.15.00. Ultrasnow version 1.2.8. has already been tested on iOS 6.1. and is out in Cydia, says Muscle Nerd.

If you don’t know which is your iPhone’s baseband you can find out by opening the menu and following the next steps:  Settings > General > About > Modem Firmware.

In the case you are on one of these firmware, you should be sure you don’t update the baseband when you upgrade to the iOS 6.1. version.  In order to be sure you do this, you can use the RedSnow tool. You open the app and follow the next steps: click on Extras –> Even More –> Restore and then select the option to NOT upgrade BB.

We also invite you to follow a video tutorial, step-by-step, in order to see how it works and be sure you do the operation correctly.

If you don’t have enough time or are not sure you can do it by yourself, we suggest you to try the official factory unlock named ChronicUnlocks.
